I purchased this for my 7 year old who was never dry a night in his life. After one week of waking to the alarm each night, he began having dry nights and is now on his 14th night. This is definitely a partnership between a child and parent. Be prepared to wake each night with the alarm, too. But it was worth it!! I never thought that this would work so quickly - or even at all. He is a very picky dresser and the alarm is comfortable for him to wear. The alarm/vibration is loud enough to wake him, even though he is a VERY heavy sleeper. He has even started to be able to have some water before going to bed and he still makes it through the night.
